Meet Christina Peterson, Newburgh Property Manager
April’s Employee Spotlight is on Christina Peterson, our Newburgh Property Manager. Christina has been with Guardian Self Storage since June of 2014 and has proven to be a great member of our team! Check out her interview below:
1. What Guardian Property/Properties do you work at?
I work at Newburgh
What is your favorite part about working at Guardian Self Storage?
I find I get to meet a lot of interesting people and a lot of service men and women, Its great getting a chance to thank them face to face.
In your opinion, what sets Guardian apart from all of the other self-storage companies out there?
I mean I get told all the time it’s because we have thought of everything! I love to hear that.
What are some of the most interesting things you’ve seen stored?
I have seen thousands of records stored.
At the location(s) you work at, what are the types of units that people rent the most?
I would have to say 10X20
Tell us more about you; what are some of your favorite things to do outside of work?
I love anything to do with crafting. I like being able to be creative and I love music.
What type of advice would you give someone who has never stored anything before and is trying to decide what type of unit to use and how to pack their unit?
Pack up everything first and put it all in one room. It makes deciding on a size a lot easier and makes the customer more confident.
Do you have a favorite customer?
I haven’t had a chance to get to know anyone more personally.
What is the longest you have ever worked with a customer before getting them into a storage unit?
I would say a solid week.
What has been your most heartfelt experience at Guardian Self Storage?
I think hearing about a woman going through a rough abusive divorce was seeking a place to put her things and was concerned about her soon to be ex-husband finding out where she was and gaining access. She was so thankful!
